Colleen Lama

Colleen Lama, M.S., CCC-SLP, BCBA is the owner of Lama Pediatric Therapy. She is a Speech-Language Pathologist and Board Certified Behavior Analyst who has over ten years of experience in providing pediatric speech and language therapy. A graduate of Florida State University, Colleen is licensed by the State of Florida and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech–Language and Hearing Association (ASHA). Colleen expanded her education and became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in 2015. She combines both her speech-language and applied behavioral analysis skills to provide quality therapy services. Colleen has a variety of experience working with the pediatric population in both home and clinic settings. She specializes in early intervention and feeding difficulties. Colleen takes pride in working with children and their families to provide exceptional therapy.

Meet Our Speech + Language Team

Marina, M.S. CCC-SLP

Marina, M.S. CCC-SLP is the lead Speech-Language Pathologist at Lama Pediatric. She was born and raised in Clearwater, Florida. She attended Florida State University where she pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and went on to pursue a Master’s degree from Nova Southeastern University in Speech-Language Pathology.

She has a passion for working in pediatrics and has experience working in the private setting, home healthcare setting, public/private school setting, and daycare setting. Much of her experience has been in serving pediatric patients with Autism Spectrum Disorder and patients with Augmentative and Alternative Communication needs.

She also enjoys working with children who have speech and/or language delays and has a passion for finding the most functional form of communication for her patients.

Jenifer, M.S. CF-SLP

Jenifer, M.S. CF-SLP is a bilingual speech therapist. She was born in Miami and received her bachelor's degree from FIU. She worked as a Registered Behavior Technician for two years after receiving her undergraduate degree.

She went on to received her Master's of Science in Speech Language Pathology at DePaul University. She has over 5 years of experience working with pediatric patients in the clinic, home, and school settings. Most of her experience is in bilingualism, Articulation and Phonological Disorders, Language Disorders, Fluency, Augmentative/Alternative Communication (AAC), and Autism Spectrum Disorder. She is a native Spanish-speaker and fluent in American Sign Language (ASL). She believes bilingualism is a beautiful superpower.

She also thinks that it is important for her to make sure she centers her treatment around the goals of the families she serves, and to make therapy functional and a fun experience!

Morgan, M.S. CCC-SLP

Morgan, M.S., CCC-SLP is a sensory certified speech-language pathologist. She earned her Bachelor of Science degrees from The Florida State University and graduated with honors from Nova Southeastern University with her Master’s of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Morgan holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is an Inside Out Level 2 Sensory Certified Speech-Language Pathologist.

She specializes in the evaluation and treatment of a variety of communication disorders secondary to diagnoses related to Autism Spectrum and Sensory Processing Disorders as well as reading and literacy disorders within the pediatric population. Morgan has experience working in the public school system (Pre-K-12), private therapy clinics, and daycares.

She is passionate about thinking outside the box when it comes to functional communication and enjoys working with children and families to improve communication across all settings.

Meet Our OT Team

Brianna, M.S., OTR

Brianna is our lead Occupational Therapist. She has a Master of Science degree from Keiser University. She has worked in pediatrics for four years with experience in Autism Spectrum Disorder, sensory processing, fine motor and visual deficits.

She is passionate about helping children and families accomplish their goals through personalized care plans. Brianna enjoys working with local charities, spending time with family and friends, and traveling.

Her goal is to continue learning and growing as a therapist at Lama Pediatric Therapy.

Marissa, M.S., OTR

Marissa is a graduate of the University of South Alabama with a Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from the University of West Florida. She has experience working with traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurobehavioral disorders, and developmental delays.

Marissa has always had a passion for working with children and discovered her interest in working with people with disabilities through her sister-in-law, who has Down Syndrome. She loves to guide children to being able to grow to their full potential through the therapeutic use of play. She is excited to help collaborate with families and their children to begin their journey towards functional independence across all occupations.

In her free time, Marissa loves reading, spending time with friends and family, and traveling. She is passionate about helping children and families accomplish their goals through personalized care plans.

Shaquana, B.S., COTA

Shaquana is a 2017 graduate of Keiser University Occupational Therapy Assistant Program. Shaquana had previously obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Sciences from the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL. She has experience working with kids and adolescents with ASD, Down Syndrome, Developmental Delay, and Cerebral Palsy. Shaquana discovered her passion for working with children as she began her first job at the age of 16 as a summer camp counselor. She is very elated about using her knowledge and abilities to help others and make a positive impact in the lives of children and their families.

Amy, MA, BCBA

Amy, M.A., BCBA is a Behavior Analyst at Lama Pediatric Therapy. She graduated from the University of West Florida with her Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis in August of 2020.

She also has her Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of South Florida, and spent 8 years as a (SLPA) Speech Language Pathology Assistant.

Amy has experience in the clinical and public school settings working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, learning disabilities, and speech/language disorders.

Emilee, MS, BCBA

Emilee, M.S, BCBA is a Behavior Analyst at Lama Pediatric Therapy. She graduated from Trinity College Dublin with her Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis in May of 2020.

Emilee started in the field of ABA while she was in the Peace Corps in the Philippines in 2014. She became a certified RBT and worked with Early Intervention before pursuing her BCBA certification.

Emilee has experience in the clinical and public school settings working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and learning disabilities. She also has experience working with young adults in work and in-home settings.

Courtney, MA, BCBA

Courtney, M.A, BCBA is a Behavior Analyst at Lama Pediatric Therapy. She graduated from University of West Florida with her Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis in 2021.

Courtney has an undergraduate degree in Communication Disorders from the University of Alabama. She has been in the field of ABA since 2020 as a certified RBT and worked while pursuing her BCBA certification.

Courtney has experience with children ages 2-18 . She has extensive experience implementing crisis interventions. She is dedicated to making a positive impact in the field of ABA.

Sarah, MA, BCBA

Sarah, M.A., BCBA, is a Behavior Analyst at Lama Pediatric Therapy. She graduated from University of South Florida with her Master's Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis in December of 2016.

She also has undergraduate degrees in History and Psychology from the University of South Florida in 2014.

Sarah started in the field of ABA to make individualized differences in families' lives. She has experience with children in the center and home settings; while also some experience in the public school setting. She is excited to help all children grow!
